(301) 342-7060 SOURCES SOUGHT: The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft
Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, Md is seeking potential sources to
provide services in support of life cycle support for Maritime
Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) Mission Computer Software. The types of
services required include but are not limited to Ada Language software
of the P-3C Aircraft AN/ASQ-212 (and derivative computers) and the
S-3B Aircraft AN/AYK-23 (and derivative computers), software for the
AN/AYK-23 computer translated from CMS-2 to assembly level, and S-3B
Aircraft CMS-2 software that operates on the AN/AYK-10 computer. The
contractor shall provide engineering services to modify and enhance the
MSA Mission Computer Software in accordance with the requirements for
modifications and enhancements to be provided as Task Orders. These
modifications and enhancements will be in response to, or in support
of, fleet/user identified problems, or new operational requirements.
The contractor shall implement all mission critical software in the
same computer language as the baseline product (provided by the
contracting agency) being supported. The current MSA MC mission
critical software programs are as follows: P-3C AN/ASQ-212* computer
Ada and resident software; S-3B AN/AYK-23* computer Ada, computer
"translated" (from AN/AYK-10 computer CMS-2Y and Direct Code), computer
resident CMS-2 language, positional training and support software.
NOTE: (*and derivative computers. Currently these computers are based
on Motorola MC680XX processors). It is anticipated that an ID/IQ level
of effort contract may be awarded for a one year base period of
performance with four option years. The estimated level of effort is
approximately 52,752 hours for the base period with an additional
211,008 hours for the option years. The level of Security required for
this effort is to be Secret. The standard industrial code is 8711 and
$20M in annual receipts. This synopsis is for information and planning
purposes only and is not expected to directly lead to contracts to be
let by the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest
by submitting a capability statement that specifically details past
experience at providing the same types of services. Capability
statements shall also include specific details that support the
offerors overall ability to provide the required services. This is not
a request for proposals. All capability statements received will be
evaluated to determine what potential sources are available. Responses
