S -- THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF PRISONS HAS A FUTURE REQUIREMENT FOR ELECTRIC SERVICE AT USP ATWATER, CALIFORNIA. SOL RFQ X00-0353 POC Eric D. Claud (202) 307-0954 The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for electric service at a proposed United States Penitentiary to be located near the City of Atwater adjacent to Castle Airport in Merced County, California. The facility will house approximately 1,500 inmates, warehouse space and other generic institutional elements. The electric service is required by October 1, 2000. The permanent service connection shall be completed by May 1, 2000. The provider shall agree to sell, transmit and distribute electrical service of 12,470Y volts, 4 wire, 60 hertz capable of serving a connected load of 7,800 KVA and an estimated demand load of 4,450 KW. Annual usage is estimated at 15,984,000 KWh. . Actual energy requirements may not be determined until after the first year of full capacity operation. The estimates provided are for the provider's benefit and are not meant as a guarantee of revenue or use. The provider shall provide and install metering station to meter electric use. Metering station includes all equipment, switches, disconnects, pad, cable, conduit, meter and meter housing. The provider shall install meter(s) of a type to record the quantity of all electricity consumed by the facility and the provider is responsible for monitoring the accuracy of the metering equipment.
