49 -- PAINT GUN WASHER SOL N68335-99-RFI-900 DUE 110698 POC June Manganello (732) 323-2735 or Robert Moyer (732) 323-7193 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is seeking potential sources, product information, and helpful comments for the acquisition of equipment used to wash paint guns and related accessories such as pressure pots, paint cans, and gun extensions. Our requirement is for an air operated and automated closed-loop system that flushes and cleans the paint guns and accessories. In addition to being commercial off-the-shelf equipment, other highly desirable features would include; (a) Integrated high capacity filtering system to reduce solvent changes, (b) Large capacity explosion- proof solvent tank which includes easy clean-out features for settled content, and (c) Solvent selection which has a low hazard rating. This is a Request For Information (RFI) only. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this RFI, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided.
