The new solicitation number for this acquisition is DAAB07-99-R-J552. All correspondece and proposals shall reference the new solicitation number. The draft solicitation number for the OWL cooler has been posted to the CECOM Business Opportunity Page(BOP) on 1998 October 21. This CBD announcement updates/modifies the previous synopsis, issued under solicitation number DAAB07-98-R-G317, for the OWL cooler acquisition, and is not a synopsis for a new requirement. The OWL cooler units shall meet the requirements of performance specification PRF-A3165823, dated 09 October 1996 and as modified by Engineering Change Proposals (ECP)13-004. The OWL cooler requirements shall be fulfilled via full and open competition with up to two firm fixed price contracts awarded on a best vaue basis. Each contract shall be for a base year plus two option periods. The total HTI base requirements are 464 each and the itas base requirements are 90 each. The total HTI and itas combined option quantities are 1294 each respectively. Warranty requirements for the OWL cooler base and option quantities are included and addressed in the solicitation.
