synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
subparts in the Federal Acquisitions Regulation 12.6, as supplemented
with additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; Proposals are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document
and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through
Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. The Government intends to negotiate
with Abbott Diagnostic, in the Solicitation No. RFP 600-009-99, a
sole-source estimated requirements contract for the purchase of Reagent
Test Kits to be used in concert with the Abbott Commander Mdl.# PPC for
Hepatitis Research. The Reagent Test Kits are as follows: (1). Reagent
HAVAB M Kit (9843-24) 100 test/kit -- Est. qty. 12kt (2). Reagent
AUSZYME Kit (1980-24) 100 test/kit -- Est. qty. 24kt (3). Reagent AUSAB
Kit (9006-24) 100 test/kit -- Est. qty. 36kt (4). Reagent CORZYME Kit
(9977-24) 100 test/kit -- Est. qty. 24kt (5). Reagent HCV Kit (4A14-24)
100 test/kt -Est. qty. 48kt. Substitute items will not be accepted.
Contract award will be effective from date of award through October 31,
1999, with the government having the option to extend the contract for
two (2) one-year periods. The shipments of the Reagent test kits are
monthly and all deliveries will be to VA Medical Center, 5901 East
Seventh Street, Building 126, room w231v, Long Beach, CA 90822. Offeror
shall submit a completed copy of representations and certifications at
FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification -- Commercial
