synopsis/solicitation in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart
12.6, and FAR 13.6 as supplemented with additional information included
in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued!! 17(ii). The solicitation number and a statement that the
solicitation is issued as a Request for quotation (RFQ). 17(iii). A
statement that the solicitation document and incorporated provisions
and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular
90-46. 17(iv) This procurement is unrestricted. All responses from
responsible sources will be fully considered!! 17(v). This contract
action is for maintenance on CASA 212 Aircraft SN: 85-60168 SN:
85-60169 SN: 85-70159, SCOPE -- This defines required contractor
actions to provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of airframe
and avionics, exchange and repair of all aircraft systems and
subsystems for the CASA-212,, Reg. Nr. 85-60168, 85-60169, and 85-70159
for the Special Operations Command. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTATION -- Federal
Aviation Administration Federal Aviation Regulations, Garrett Engine
TPE-3 3 1 -- Overhaul, Maintenance, and Parts Manuals, CASA-212 Series
200 Aircraft Overhaul, Maintenance, and Parts Manuals, Bendix/King,
Collins, Universal Navigation, Communication, and Radar Maintenance
Manuals. REQUIREMENTS -- 1)The contractor shall perform scheduled A. C,
Y, and Special inspections IAW CASA-212 inspection manual. Projected 6
ca. 100 Hr. inspections per Fiscal Year. 2) The contractor shall
perform engine compressor wash IAW Garrett/CASA requirements. Projected
6 ea. per Fiscal Year. 3) The contractor shall replace fuel nozzles
every 400 hours IAW Garrett requirements. This is in lieu of performing
fuel nozzle flow checks). 4) The contractor shall perform all 1 A, 2A,
I C, 2C, 1Y, 2Y and multiples as required by CASA, USA inspection
manual. 5) The contractor shall perform all 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8
year inspections as required by CASA inspection manual. 6) The
contractor shall perform all 2 year certifications as required. e.g.
Altimeters, Transponder, and Pitot system inspections and checks. 7)
The aircraft will be delivered to and picked up at the contract
maintenance facility. 8) The contractor shall provide a qualified CASA
Aircraft Mechanic to USASOC Flight Detachment at Simmons AAF on an as
required, mutually agreed basis. QUALITY ASSURANCE -- For work
performed at his site, the contractor shall ensure that parts and
materials utilized in the accomplishment of this effort are as
specified in the appropriate maintenance and parts manuals and conform
with standard aviation industry engineering and manufacturing
practices. The contractor shall assure that processing actions are
accomplished IAW Federal Aviation Administration regulations. For work
performed at his site, the contractor shall ensure that parts and
materials utilized in the accomplishment of this effort are as
specified in the appropriate maintenance and parts manuals and conform
with standard aviation industry engineering and manufacturing
practices. The contractor shall assure that processing actions are
accomplished IAW Federal Aviation Administration!! 17(vi). N/A!!
17(vii). Performance Period will be from date of award through 30
September 1998!! 17(viii). FAR provisions and/or clauses referenced
will be furnished in full text upon receipt of written request.
