Maintenance & Logistic Command, Pacific proposes an indefinite
delivery order with optional three years to contract for the haulout
and repairs of the 44' Motor Life Boats. The contract will be multiple
award with 3 lots as follows: Lot 1 Group San Francisco, Lot 2 Group
Port Angeles, and Lot 3 Group Humboldt, Group Northbend, Group Astoria
which will be performed at the contractor's facility. Major work
includes but not limited: Hull Plating Renewal, Longitudinal Renewals,
Rubber D-Fender Renewal, Renew Transverse Framing, Helmsman's Cockpit
Repair, Propeller Shaft Removal & Installation, Fathometer Transducer
Renewal, Zinc Anode Renewal, Renewal of Strut and Stern Tube Bearings,
Taff Rail Reseal, Forward Deck Hatch Renewal and Fuel Tank Oil Fill &
Vent Piping Renewal. The contract will commence the 28 January 1999.
The solicitation will be issued 24 November 1998. The procurement will
be small business set aside. All responsible sources may submit their
bids, which will be considered by this agency. This notice is for
informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises, The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum credit line is $500,000. For
