This project includes, but is not limited to installing approximately
800 feed of .118 inch thick smooth slick and clear polycarbonate UV
Resistant (GE Lexan type XL) panels bent at 4 inches with a 90 degree
angle with the remaining 20 inches left on the other side. The panels
will be securely installed in the upper-most wall/soffit area (90
degree angle at the junction of the precast wall, steel soffit and
columns) and the two end corners of the east and west sides of the
Cadet Fieldhouse, Bldg 2169 using stainless steel anchors. All edges
and joints of the polycarbonate panels will be sealed with a clear Dow
Corning Silicone Sealer. Area of installation is approximately 50 to
60 feet above ground level. The contractor may use secure scaffolding,
scissor lift, or cherry picker to work in overhead area. All screws
and anchors will have washers installed to prevent weather
check/cracking of the polycarbonate. All work is to be completed before
15 Jan 99. The intent of installation is to have the installation of
acrylic panels in place before the migration and nesting of swallows.
A site visit will be held. The date and time will be annotated within
the solicitation. This work is covered under the Davis Bacon Act.
