This notice replaces notice Submission No. 264867 published October 23, 1998 with Class Code A for Enhanced Display Unit (EDU) The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments command, Armament Research,Development and Engineering Center (TACOM-ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, 07806-5000, has a requirement for development of the M109 series of vehicles Enhanced Display Unit. The Government intends to use the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to provide Systems and Technical Integration expertise to the Government. This requirement will be for the design, development, integration, management, testing, and fabrication of the Enhanced Display Unit (EDU) for the M109 family of vehicles. The EDU will provide Situational Awareness (SA)functionality utilizing Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) Software which the contractor will tailor to the M109 Field Artillery needs. The Contractor will have the overall responsibility for hardware, software and specification development to insure interface and functionality requirements are met with the ultimate product/goal being a validated Performance Specification to be delivered to the Government. The Government will utilize this performance specification as a basis for future competition. Interested parties should submit qualifications (personnel, facilities, experience) for consideration to meet above requirement.
