DSCR proposes expanding its current vehicular Battery consignment(vbcp) program to include military bases located in Europe by modifying the existing vbcp requirements contract with Exide Corporation, reading PA. The existing contract requires Exide to Supply and deliver on a consignment basis, wet charged vehicular batteries described below, ready for immediate use, FOB destination throughout the 50 United States. The contract also requires exixde to pick up and dispose of unserviceable batteries of the same type delivered on a ONE-FOR-ONE basis at not additional cost to the government. Delivery and performance of the identical supplies and services IAW SOW Rev 6, 15 Jul 97, IE required at approximately thirty (30) US military bses located throughout Germany and one (1)site location in Italy.
