TO PURCHASE .Soft Body Armor jackets, with Level "IIIA" protection as
defined in NIJ Standard. Must match Air Force survival vest, Air Ace
Snap Track Survival Vest SRU-21/P and the Ace Arrest Rescue and
Recovery Harness. Armor shall be constructed from nonwoven,
unidirectional, aramid fiber composite, ballistic material having an
aerial density not to exceed 1.1 pounds per square foot. Material shall
be inherently waterproof, hermetically sealed, and resistant to UV
light degradation. Armor material shall be covered with light-weight
fabric in panel form. Armor panels shall be removable and covered in
fire retardant, washable fabric. One size fits all construction, with
shoulder and side protection, and silent, quick release, adjustment
buckles at the waist and shoulders to allow vest to be adjusted for
snug fit. Panel covers shall have sewn in pockets to allow addition of
soft trauma packs, or ceramic and other armor plates for additional
protection up to NIJLevel IV. All carriers shall be fire retardant to
FAR 25.853 and NFPA 701. Color shall be ultimate terra'. Quotes must be
accompanied by descriptive literature and specifications. Delivery
shall be within 30-45 days after award. NOTES: This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only
solicitation/request for quotation, and a written solicitation will not
be issued. In accordance with FAR 52.252-1, Solicitation Provisions by
Reference, this solicitation incorporates the following provisions by
reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in

Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. (NOTE: The
standard industrial class code (SIC) for this acquisition is 2297. The
