Bell (804) 734-8524 (Site Code DECA01) The Defense Commissary Agency has a requirement for linen/laundry rental/exchange and dry cleaning of Government furnished items for commissaries located in the Eastern Region of the Defense Commissary Agency. States which are to be covered by this requirement include: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia. The items to be acquired under this solicitation include smocks, frocks, butcher pants, shirts, trousers, mats and rugs. Individual requirements, by commissary, will be specified in the solicitation. The contractor shall be required to provide the items in a variety of male and female sizes. The contractor shall be required to pick up, from each commissary, a minimum of once each week all soiled garments/mats and drop off clean replacements garments/mats at that time. The period of performance is October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000 with four (4) one-year option periods. There is a possibility for multiple awards. The STANDARD INDUSTRIAL CLASSIFICATION is 7213 and the BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD is $10.5 million. This acquisition will be UNRESTRICTED.
