It is requested that anyone that is manufacturing any M242 25mm Automatic Gun items or similar items, either commercially or on Government contract that would be interested in this planning, please reply. The M242 Automatic Gun involves manufacturing processes in the following areas: gears/shafts, spring making, machining and making of large and small castings. Purchase and machining of specialty materials including aluminum and maraging steel (high strength steel). The assembly and testing of major assemblies of which may require proof firing.
