This project is a fixed price contract for the design and construction of an expansion to the Processing & Distribution Center of approximately 35,208 net square feet, 1237 East Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37950-9997. The work includes but is not limited to interior demolition, site improvements and paving. The construction consists of slab on grade, structural steel framing, masonry walls and a membrane roofing system. Mechanical and electrical systems for the space are included in the design/build contract. U. S. Postal Service mechanization system design and construction is not included in this project. The Processing and Distribution Center, Knoxville, Tennessee, operates a 24 hour operation and all project work must be coordinated so as to provide minimal impact to P & D Center operations. Technical Qualifications and Management Plan Evaluation is based on a 100-point total (Experience -- 40, Management Plan -- 30, Financial Capability -- 15, and Organization -- 15).
