Infections Research Branch, Therapeutics Research Program, Division of
AIDS, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID),
NIH, has a requirement to develop therapies for the treatment of AIDS
and associated opportunistic infections. The purpose of this RFP is to
seek responsible offers for establishment of drug screening capability
against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This contract is to serve as the
central facility for coordinating acquisition and testing of novel

anticipated that one (1) cost reimbursement, completion type contract
will be awarded for a period of seven (7) years, beginning
approximately August 17, 1999. Request for proposal (RFP)

and the initial review process, offerors comprising the competitive
range will be requested to provide additional documentation to the
Contracting Officer. Responses to this RFP will be due on December 15,
1998. Any responsible offeror may submit a proposal, which will be
