McFarlane, Contracting Officer, 301-496-0349 The Opportunistic Infections Research Branch, Therapeutics Research Program, Division of AIDS, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), NIH, has a requirement to develop therapies for the treatment of AIDS and associated opportunistic infections. The purpose of this RFP is to seek responsible offers for new tuberculosis drug technology development and transfer support. This contract is to serve as a resource for facilitating the translation of anti-tuberculosis discoveries into candidates for development and commercialization. It is anticipated that one (1) cost reimbursement, completion type contract will be awarded for a period of seven (7) years, beginning approximately August 17, 1999. Following proposal submission and the initial review process, offerors comprising the competitive range will be requested to provide additional documentation to the Contracting Officer.
