Specialist, (518) 452-4079 The United States Postal Service is
soliciting proposals to lease an existing building or a building newly
constructed to USPS specifications at a specified annual rental in
West Sand Lake, NY 12196. Purchase options are also requested at
various points throughout the lease term. Space requirements are
approximately: 4,083 sq. ft. new interior, 489 sq. ft. platform, 26,238
sq. ft. driveway, parking and maneuvering. Minimum site size is 76,140
sq. ft, excluding setbacks, eastments, etc. The preferred site area is
within the limits of the community of West Sand Lake and further
bounded as follows: on NYS Rt. 43 not more than 1/4 mile east or west
of he intersection with NYS Rt. 150; on NYS Rt. 150 not more than 1/4
mile north or south of the intersection with NYS Rt. 43. The lease term
is for a base of twenty years with four five-year renewal options.
Proposals will be received through December 4, 1998. To request a
formal solicitation package including plans, specifications, and
proposal documents, senda non-refundable check or money order made
payable to "Disbursing Officer, USPS" in the amount of $50.00 to: USPS
Administrative Support, Attn: R. McGrath, Facilities Engineer, 30
Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12288-9991. Packages MUST BE requested by mail.
No phone orders or walk-in purchases will be permitted. No cash will
