The work shall consist of the construction of 480 meters of concrete runway, turn around and other applicable appurtenances. Bid Documents are available on or about 17 November 1998. Estimated cost of work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Requests for plans and specifications shall indicate in writing whether firm will bid as a prime contractor or a subcontractor. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. Prime contractors proposing under this solicitation must be U.S. firms, Colombian firms, or joint ventures between U.S. firms and Colombian firms. In country contractors may obtain plans and specifications at the Colombia Project Office. Critical Path Method (Network Analysis System) is required. For this job, a Small Business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $17,000,000 for the past three years. This solicitation includes Bid Options which may not be awarded.
