The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory (NSWCDL)Dahlgren, Virginia plans to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) N00178-99-R-1014 during the 1st quarter of FY 1999 for MK21 Mod 1 Initiators. Via a previous Sources Sought Announcement in the 17 July 1998 Commerce Business Daily (CBD)(N00178-98-Q-1103), NSWCDL's interest was identified and contractor capabilities were assessed. RFP N00178-99-R-1014 will be an unrestricted domestic procurement. The procurement will include a first article acceptance lot with yearly production quantities estimated at 800-1200. The selected supplier must be capable of building the initiators to a supplied Technical Data Package and of performing acceptance testing. The selected supplier must be ISO 9000 qualified and must be able to obtain personnel and facility clearances up to the Secret level.
