This announcement is a market survey seeking interested qualified sources for a follow on contractual effort for 5 each M898 SADARM 155mm Tactical projectiles and 2 each M898 SADARM 155mm Decelerator Development Models. This effort is intended to be awarded as a follow on effort via modification to an existing Foreign Military Sale (FMS) contract DAAE30-97-C-1083. The Swiss Government has requested that these items be added to the existing contract as it is their intention to utilize these in a shoot off evaluation against the German seeker technology. At present, the U.S. Government does not own the Technical Data Package from which these items have been developed. The current producer of these items is Aerojet Corporation of Azusa, California who also currently owns the TDP. The SADARM is a 155mm projectile with two smart submunitions. These submunitions must be capable of identifying enemy from friendly targets and be able to defeat them under a wide variety of climatic and battlefield conditions. Performance, reliability and unit cost are primary considerations. Delivery of these items is to occur within the next year in order to meet the schedule set forth by the Swiss Government. A qualified source should possess the resources to meet the production schedule and should already be self facilitized. These items have been developed off of an extensive 10 year plus research and development effort. This notice is to ascertain whether there is any companies who have developed similar items which could meet the criteria established herein. This notice is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute an RFP and does not obligate the Government in any way. Interested sources should submit information to demonstrate, at a minimum, the following: a)Management and technical expertise in production of similar systems; b)Appropriate facility and process capabilities; c) Capability in handling, assembly, storage and safety of explosives; and d) Secret Clearance.
