commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart
12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this
notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals
are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and the
RFQ number is 463-0004-9. The solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-08 (excluding FAC 97-07). This is a 100 percent small
business set-aside. The standard industrial classification code is 3661
and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The Federal Correctional
Complex in Beaumont, Texas, intends to make a single award for the
supply of the following line item: 1) single wall-mounted indoor
telephone enclosures. Unit shall maintain caller privacy. Basic unit
shall be a shelf made into a semicircle with seamless sections. Unit
shall be constructed of acoustical metal, lightweight outerskin of
anodized aluminum and innerskin of perforated anodized aluminum.
Stainless steel shall be used for both the trim and the writing shelf.
All fasteners shall be security pin-in-head type that are counter sunk
for a flush surface design. There shall be a minimum of a
one-inch-thick layer of acoustical fiberglass between the acoustical
inner lining and the anodized aluminum outerskin. Quantity: 160.
Dimensions shall not exceed the following measurements: height -- 52
inches, width -- 26 1/4 inches, depth -- 14 inches. All telephone
enclosures shall be manufactured in accordance with standard commercial
practices. Delivery shall be made to the Federal Correctional Complex
in Beaumont, Texas, within 30 calendar days after date of award of a
purchase order. Delivery terms shall be F.O.B. destination. The
provision at FAR 52.212-1 entitled "Instructions to Offerors --
Commercial Items" applies to this acquisition. Quoters are required to
submit a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3 entitled
"Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items" and
FAR 52.225-1 entitled "Buy American Certificate." Quoters must also
provide product literature or other documentation to demonstrate
product compliance with the requirements of this solicitation. The
clause at FAR 52.212-4 entitled "Contract Terms and Conditions --
Commercial Items" applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR
52.212-5 entitled "Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement
Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items" applies to this
acquisition. The following FAR clauses within 52.212-5 are hereby made
applicable to this procurement: 52.222-26 entitled "Equal
Opportunity"; 52.222-35 entitled "Affirmative Action for Disabled
Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era"; 52.222-36 entitled
"Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities"; 52.222-37 entitled
"Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam
Era"; and 52.225-3 entitled"Buy American Act -- Supplies." Mailed,
hand-carried or faxed quotations will be accepted (in accordance with
FAR 52.212-1 cited above) until 2:00 p.m. local time on November 24,
