This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-6. Note Number One applies, SIC code is 3861. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The requirement is as follows: CLIN 0001 is for PVC I.D. Cards with various printed wording and designs incorporating American flag and Census Bureau logo, designating official credentials for; a.) BC-110 "CENSUS ENUMERATOR," b.) D-200 "CENSUS OFFICE EMPLOYEE," and c.) BC-555 "CENSUS CREW LEADER." Card Specs: CR80.030 2.125X3.375. Printed: Front-1 silk screen signature panel & 2 color lithographically printed design. Back-2 silk screen signature panels & 1 color lithographically printed design. Slot punched, 2 MIL graphics quality PVC overlaminate front & back. Must meet ISO & ANSI specs. Laser color key proof for correctness of print. Cards must be shrink wrapped in batches of 500 and boxed in boxes with lids in cases of 5000. All sleeves must be labeled with specifications, etc. Contractor must provide 25 non-returnable actual sample cards with quotation for evaluation prior to award. Quotes shall include costs for all cards to be shipped to the Bureau of the Census, National Processing Center, Jeffersonville, Indiana, 47132. Census requires delivery by 10-DEC-1998 of 300K BC-110, 100K D-200, 12K BC-555. Census requires delivery by 05-JAN-1999 of 120K BC-110, 100K D-200, 5K BC-555 (K=1,000). This is an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery with est. maximum requirement of 4,000,000 each BC-110 badges, 800,000 each D-200 badges, and 700,000 each BC-555 badges over a period from initial delivery requirement through 30-DEC-2000.
