The responses to this RFI shall address the applicability of Federal Acquisition Regualtion (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Contractors who feel that this acquisition can meet the definition of a commercial service found in FAR 2.101 should provide the following: Customary practices regarding service agreements, customary practices, quality assurance agreements, and any other terms and conditions that would govern this type of acquisition. Also, we would like information on any requirements of local laws and regulations that unique to this service and size and status of potential sources. The U. S. Air Force is contemplating a solicitation for recycling service for mixed paper recycling with weekly pick-up at base location buildings. Anticipated that contactor will provide 80 to 100 (60 gal. or 100 gal. ) lidded containers. Exact specifications to be provided. An RFQ will be posted electronically. Four option years are anticipated. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notification or otherwise pay for any information or inquiry.
