The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement to furnish and install one new generator armature winding, one new core, install the core if required, and recondition the exciter of the same unit. This requirement will also include options for acquisition of up to four additional new generator armature windings and reconditioning of the exciter on the same units plus furnishing and replacing generator core iron on those additional generator units. The location of this project is at Davis Powerplant which is located on the Colorado River immediately downstream from Davis Dam near the town of Bullhead City, Arizona. The Government contemplates a firm-fixed price contract type for the base requirement and firm-fixed price with economic price adjustment contract type on the optional requirements. The Government also contemplates including incentives for early completion of the work. The contract will be awarded based on the best value to the Government taking into consideration the evaluation factors listed inthe solicitation. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is December 1, 1998. The estimated date for receipt of offers is January 11, 1999. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is 3621 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees.
