The Office of Law Enforcement Technology Commercialization (OLETC) was established by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) to assist in the commercialization and utilization of US technology and innovation for use by the law enforcement and corrections (LEC) community. OLETC is a non-profit organization located on the campus of Wheeling Jesuit University. OLETC is conducting the first National Commercialization Conference for Law Enforcement and Corrections. The conference is being held in Orlando, FL on December 7 & 8, 1998 and is targeted to bring together innovators of emerging technologies, potential US manufacturing partners and the LEC community. OLETC is seeking new technologies or product concepts that are currently not on the market to showcase, as well as existing US manufacturers who are looking for potential innovative product concepts to manufacture. The purpose of the conference is to evaluate emerging LEC technologies and concepts for possible commercialization assistance and expose these innovations to candidate US manufacturing partners. It will also provide information and procedures related to the commercialization process. There is no charge for admittance to the conference or to showcase emerging product concepts. This conference is by invitation only, all interested participants must qualify for admittance through OLETC.
