In order to successfully execute this effort, the contractor must have prior experience and expertise with POSEIDON, TRIDENT I AND TRIDENT II. For over 30 years, Lockheed has been the designer, developer, and sole producer of multiple generations of the FBM/SWS equipment and is considered the only contractor properly suited to maintain and repair U.S. and U.K. owned Fleet Ballistic Missile/Strategic Weapons Systems(FBM/SWS) hardware.
