Sydlik Jr., Contract Specialist 410-278-2977 FAX 410-278-2980/2077 The RD&A Office, AMC Acquisition Center, U.S. Army Garrision, Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland has a requirement to develop a Thermal Goggle System (TGS) which will be lightweight and ruggedized. The purpose of this effort is to develop a TGS to be worn by individuals in the conduct of military missions. These duties include aiding navigation and decting targets following parachute jumps into water, desert, jungle, mountain and arctic environments. This effort's primary focus is on the integration of several leading edge thechnologies into a goggle platform which is easily coupled to the battlefield uniform and basic load. This effort will first be issued as a draft Request For Proposal in accordance with FAR 15.201 and then will be competed on a full and open basis using the Best Value Process as described in FAR 15.101-1. The contract which will be awarded as a result of this effort shall be a cost plus fixed effort for three prototype TGS. The contractor shall have a Government approved accounting system which is suitable for a Cost Plus Fixed Fee Contract. The Government reserves the right to limit the number of offers received for evaluation purposes.
