The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center of Las Vegas, Nevada intends to issue a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Commercial Items -- to Acuson Corporation -- for the maintenance of Acuson Sequoia C256 Echocardiography and also Model 512 Ultrasound Systems, including transducers and peripherals. No solicitation document exists currently. Warranty period is ending. Prospective contractors should submit written price and technical data within 20 days of this notice. Interested firms must clearly and convincingly document their capability to maintain the subject systems in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) requirements, specifications, and criteria, including providing all necessary replacement parts (except consumables), and operating system software updates/upgrades at no additional cost to the government. Must perform at least one preventive maintenance (PM) procedure per year at a cost sufficiently advantageous to the government.
