Air Handling Unit Replacement #4 & #6, Bldg. 310 Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio anticipates issuing a construction contract for critical air conditioning system component removal and replacement. The buildings serviced by Air Handling Units (AHU) #4 (24K CFM) & #6 (14K CFM) house essential surgical and laboratory facilities. Accordingly, project phasing and downtime are significant concerns. Construction completion time is 150 days. Contractor shall remove and dispose of the two existing AHUs. The complete units, including heat recovery coils shall be replaced. The new units shall be completely compatible with existing piping and controls. Replacement project is phased to provide interim facility support. Solicitation will be available on or about 11/23/98. Approximately 30 solicitations are available and will be provided on a "first come; first served basis". Only written request for solicitation packages will be honored. Planned bid opening 01/06/99.
