918/669-7270 Work consists of constructing a zoned earthfill
embankment, excavating a spillway in the left abutment and construction
of a 36-inch reinforced concrete pipe outlet works with concrete
headwalls and wingwalls. The work includes clearing and grubbing;
approximately 175,000 cubic yards of random and impervious fill,
approximately 239,000 cubic yards of common and rock excavation,
construction of a concrete sill in the spillway, approximately 2,355
cubic yards of 18-inch riprap and 1,180 cubic yards of 9-inch bedding,
turfing, and fencing (permanent and temporary). Estimated cost range
of this project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Plans and specifications
will be available on or about 3 December 1998, and will be provided on
Compact Disk (CD-ROM) free of charge. The number of CD-ROMs will be
limited to one (1) per firm. Plans and specifications will not be
provided in a printed hard copy format. Requests for plans and
specifications must be made in writing (or via home page indicated
below) to the Tulsa District, Corps of Engineers, Post Office Box 61,
Tulsa, Oklahoma 74121-0061. No phone calls to order please. Faxed
requests will be accepted at 918/669-7495. All orders will be mailed
via first class mail. Requests for special handling (Fed-X, etc.) will
not be honored. Contracting information (current solicitations, bid
results, and contract awards) is available on the Tulsa District Home
Page at www.swt.usace.army.mil. You may also register for solicitation
documents and view planholder lists via our home page. Distribution of
hard copy planholder lists with the plans and specs will be
