The Department of the Navy is developing requirements for the procurement of additional AN/AAR-47 Missile Warning Sets (MWS) for production efforts and associated materials necessary to fulfil USN, USAF and FMS requirements. The MWS is a passive, missile approach warning system consisting of four sensor assemblies, a central processor unit and a control indicator. The AN/AAR-47 is used on USN/USMC, USAF, USA, and FMS helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. The estimated quantity is 250 systems for the base year and a maximum of 250 systems for each of the two following option years. The contractor shall fabricate and test the AN/AAR-47 MWS components in accordance with the level 3 drawing package reflecting the Physical Configuration Audit completed 02 September 1993 for the AN/AAR-47 system, the Physical Configuration Audit completed 20 September 1994 for the Low Voltage Power Supply SRA, and the Statement of Work (SOW), dated 02 June 1995.
