SUBMARINE TORPEDO ACOUSTIC DEVICE COUNTERMEASURES (ADC) MK2, POC LT
Preston Gill, SEA02612G, (703) 602-7707, ext. 654. The Program
Executive Officer for Undersea Warfare, PEO(USW) PMS415, and the Naval
Sea Systems Command (NAVSEASYSCOM) intend to conduct an Industry Brief
on 20 November 1998 for companies with current undersea torpedo
countermeasure capabilities for the manufacture of 3 inch torpedo
countermeasure devices. The purpose of the briefing is to solicit
industry comments on a proposed firm fixed price competitive
procurement of Submarine Acoustic Device Countermeasures (ADC) Mk 2 and
Surface Ship Launched Expendable Acoustic Device (LEAD) ADC Mk 2
Acoustic Modules for USN and FMS markets. This competitive procurement
will be open to United Kingdom, Canadian, and Australian companies.
The draft RFP will be available for review on the SEA 026 Web Page
"http://sea02www.navsea.navy.mil:80/etic.html" on or around 13th of
November, 1998. Classified Performance Specification will be available
on Zip drive in PC format for $800.00. Request for a copy of the Zip
drive should be sent to LT Gill at the address above. Checks should be
made payable to the United States Treasury. The briefing will held on
Friday, 20 November 1998 at the PEO(USW) Technology Acquisition Needs
Center (TANC), located in Crystal Park 1, Suite 209; 2011 Crystal
Drive in Crystal City, Arlington, VA 22202. Requests for attendance
shall be addressed to NAVSEA 02612G or faxed to (703) 602-7023 c/o LT
Preston Gill Code SEA 02612G. The request shall include (1) company
facility clearance and CAGE information and (2) the proposed number of
attendees. Due to space limitations, the Government reserves the right
to limit the number of attendees per company. Briefing attendees must
have a SECRET or higher clearance. Security clearances should be FAXed
to (703) 553-0608, ATTN: TWD Security Officer. The security clearance
information shall include: Company name and address, Individual
Name(s), Social Security Number, Place of Birth, Date of Birth, Level
of Clearance and citizenship. Requests for attendance and security
clearance must be received by NAVSEA and TWD Security Officer by 17
November, 1998. Detailed information regarding the Industry Brief,
(logistics, agenda and administrative details) will be provided in
