FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to procure automotive, truck, engine machinist, collision repair, school bus, parts, and alternate fuels examinations for certification or credit by examination on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This requirement is to provide services commencing in FY99 with an estimated 7,600 examinations and extending for four (4) option years with estimated quantities of 7,800, 8,000, 8,200, and 8,400 examinations as required by the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), Pensacola, FL. The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is the only national association offering automotive service certification or American Council on Education (ACE)-recommended cr edit-by-examination. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A ! determination by the Government n ot to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
