The service develops a user profile that identifies multiple user interest, then matches important incoming stories with the appropriate user. The news is then organized on the users PC without interrupting other functions, allowing the user continued access to their PC. NewsEDGE has the capacity to operate as a stand alone system, on Local Area Networks and electronic mail systems. This service will continue for a period of one year.
