The Corporation for National and Community Service, a wholly-owned Government Corporation, intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor who can provide lodging, catering, and meeting space for the AmeriCorps Leaders Program's Pre-Service Training (PST). The PST will occur January 13 through January 29, 1999. Facility must have general session room to accommodate up to 100 persons per classroom style and up to six (6) breakout rooms which can accommodate up to 10 people. SLEEPING ROOMS: SINGLE OCCUPANCY -- January 13 through 16, 1999: twelve (12) singles: January 17 through January 19, 1999 twenty-two (22) singles: January 20 through January 22, 1999: Twenty-eight (28) singles: January 23 through January 29, 1999: twenty-two (22) singles. DOUBLE OCCUPANCY January 17 through January 19, 1999: Sixteen (16) doubles: January 20 through January 22, 1999 forty-two (42) doubles: January 23 through January 26, 1999. Sixteen (16) doubles: January 27 through January 29, 1999: Thirty-one (31) doubles. MEETING SPACES: January 13 through January 29, 1999: One large conference space for 100 participants each day of the conference. Theater Style each day from 7:00am to 9:00pm. On January 20, 1999, one large reception area will be needed for 100 participants from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. . On January 22, 1999, one large reception area will be needed for 100 participants from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. On January 27, 1999, once large reception area will be needed for 75 participants from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. On January 29, 1999, one large reception area will be needed for 75 participants from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. TRANSPORTATION: Shuttle transportation to and from the major common carrier stations including Dulles Airport, Amtrak and Bus stations, must be provided for conference participants on the following dates: January 17, January 20, January 23, January 27 and January 30, 1999: On January 24, 1999 shuttle transportation for 45 participants will be needed for transport from the Harper's Ferry, West Virginia area to Washington, DC and return to Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. On January 25, 1999, shuttle transportation from the Harper's Ferry, West Virginia area to a Team Building and Training Course also in the Harper's Ferry, West Virginia areas will be needed for 42 participants. MEALS: PLEASE EXPECT THAT AT LEAST 30% OF THE ATTENDEES WILL BE VEGETARIANS, DIABETIC OR REQUIRE KOSHER MEALS: BREAKFAST: January 14 through January 16, 1999 10 participants: January 17 through January 19, 1999 45 participants. January 20 through January 22, 1999 100 participants: January 23 through January 26, 1999: 45 participants: January 27 though January 30, 1999 72 participants. SPECIAL EVENT MEALS: On January 23, 1999, there will be a small banquet style dinner for 45 participants. On January 20, 1999, there will be a banquet meal for 100 participants. On January 27, 1999, there will be a small banquet meal for 72 participants. On January 29, 1999, there will be a banquet reception for 84 participants. EQUIPMENT: January 13 through January 29, 1999, one (1) VCR, one (1) television, one (1) podium, one (1) microphone, and 6 flipchart stands with will be needed. Also during this same period 6 flipchart pads will be needed each day. On January 17, 1999 one (1) registration table will be needed from 8:00am to 10:00pm. On January 20, 1999, one (1) registration table will be needed from 8:00 to 10:00pm. On January 23, 1999, one (1) registration table will be needed from 8:00am to 10:00pm. On January 27, 1999, one (1) registration table will be needed from 8:00am to 10:00pm. On January 30, 1999, one (1) registration table will be needed from 8:00am to 10:00pm. On January 20 through January 23, 1999 six (6) desktops computers will be needed for training. To be considered, bids must include the following information (1) Per night sleeping room rate for single and double occupancy; (2) Per person meal charges for all meals provided during this conference; (3) charges for meeting space and individual items of audio-visual equipment including flipcharts, computer use, copiers, fax and; (4) A description of the shuttle service available and any costs associated with shuttle transportation. Federal regulations require that any hotel/conference space contracted shall meet and comply with American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. Price quotes due at the above office NLT 11/20/98.
