Middleton, 618-229-9564 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), 2300 East Drive, Bldg. 3600, Scott AFB, IL, has a requirement to procure a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Network Management Software product for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Telecommunications-Integrated Product Team (T-IPT) located in Washington, DC. The COTS Network Management Software product requirement is to collect network information from Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) agents and the Remote Monitoring (RMON) probes. Additionally, the software must be capable of (1) storing the information in an inclusive commercial relational database or multiple databases, (2) manage the data collected, and (3) provide historical reports based on the information collected. The COTS Network Management Software product will be installed into a Sun Sparc Ultra Enterprise II System. The Network Management Software product must accomplish the following requirements: (1) Client/server application, (2) Scalable SNMP application, (3) Browser based, (4) Custom report-building capability, (5) Manual report generation, (6) Automatic report generation, (7) Ability to create custom libraries, (8) Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) data repository that can be centralized or distributed across multiple databases, (9) Report scheduling capability, and (10) Automatic exception and drill-down reporting based on user-defined thresholds. In addition, the software product is required to provide Out-of-the-box Pre-formatted/Automated and Manual Report Generation for the following standard reports including sub-reports: (1) Frame Relay, (2) Router Interfaces, (3) Ethernet, (4) Fiber Data Distribution Interface (FDDI), (5) Token Ring, (6) CISCO, (7) Servers, (8) RMON and RMON2, (9) Database Size, (10) Demonstrations/Utilization, (11) Baseline, and (12) Wide Area Network (WAN) Utilization/Performance.
