This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the ONLY solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The Volpe Center plans to procure through simplified acquisition procedures Remanufactured/Recharged laser printer toner cartridges. Each particular cartridge is to be disassembled and inspected. All worn parts not meeting OEM specifications are to be replaced. Replacement cartridges are to be heat sealed in an OEM type mylar bag boxed w/fuser cleaning wand, Q-tip, instructions and layer for reclosure. Cartridge exchanges (pick-up and delivery) are to be performed on a weekly (M ax) schedule, two (2) day turn around required. Cartridges defective at time of use shall be replaced at no cost to the Government. Purchase Order period will be from date of award through September 30, 1999 with one option period for fiscal year 2000. All interested sources must identify the product by submitting pricing data and an accurate description of the equipment offered, which includes the make and model numbers.
