Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) market survey #97010, due
30 days from the date of this ad. This is NOT an Invitation for Bid
(IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). Under PL 98-369 (CICA), this
Sources Sought Market Survey is seeking to identify suppliers for
Wastewater Treatment Equipment, not currently being procured. The US
ARMY-TACOM, Petroleum and Water Business Area is requesting information
pertaining to commercially available mobile wastewater treatment
equipment. The following describe the capabilities that the system has
to meet: 1. A system that can purify approximately 5000 gallons/day
of: (A) Backwash water from the ROWPU's multimedia filter to meet NPDES
discharge limits; high total suspended solids, high metal
concentrations, and high phosphate levels. General constituents of
backwash water are listed in Table 1.; (B) Water contaminated from
cleaning of the ROWPU's elements to meet NPDES discharge regulations.
Reverse osmosis membranes (ROMs) are usually cleaned with citric acid
solution or TritonX-100 which as a result, generating water with high
levels of BOD5 and low pH, suspended solids, grease and oil levels.
General constituents of ROMs cleaning water are listed in Table 1.; 2.
A second system that can purify approximately 20,000-25,000
gallons/day of: (A) Graywater produced from laundry, kitchens, and
shower facilities with the following composition listed in mg/liter,
etc to meet NPDES discharge regulations. General constituents of
