Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, NY is seeking qualified
architect-engineer firms to provide necessary architect-engineer
services for the design and development of construction drawings and
specifications for Project 500-301, ICU/CCU Renovations. Work is for
the total renovation of the existing ICU/CCU unit, approximately 12,000
sf. The renovated area shall include ICU/CCU, a Hemodialysis Unit and
a Critical Cardiac Care Unit. Work shall include asbestos abatement,
demolition of existing walls, ceilings, flooring and mechanical
equipment, electrical, plumbing and general construction of the new
area. An Industrial Hygienist shall be included on the A/E team for
this project. The design contract shall be awarded for a design
development to address all issues pertaining to the renovation work,
develop a detailed scope of work and a detailed construction cost
estimate to perform all required construction service, design and
development of construction drawings and specifications. Interested
firms must have working offices withina 60 mile radius of the Albany,
NY City limits. The following Evaluation Criteria will be used during
the A/Eselection process: (1) Specialized experience of the firm to
perform the work required; (2) Capacity of the firm to perform the work
within the required time frames; (3) Past record of performance on
Government contracts; (4) Geographic location of firm's working office
in relation to the renovation site; (5) Familiarity of the area in
which project is located; (6) Specific experience and qualifications of
personnel proposed for assignment of project. Firms desiring
consideration must submit a Standard Form 254 and Standard Form 255 as
described in Numbered Note 24 with information showing experience on
other projects specific to ICU/CCU areas. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR
PROPOSALS. Responses shall be received by Close of Business December
