extension 540 Professional Architect-Engineering services are required
to design the renovation and conversion of building into a joint
services warehouse. The building will provide food service storage
areas, commissary and laundry areas, offices and a loading dock. The
design shall address selective demolition, site work, roof repair,
exterior enclosure repair, rehabilitation and modification of the
building's HVAC, domestic water and electrical systems. The abatement
of asbestos and lead paint, reactivattion of the building's fire
suppression system, and all work necessary to make the building
operational. Construction administration and as-built drawing
preparation are required. The estimated performance period of the
contract is 428 calendar days. The evaluation criteria for selection
and contract award are as follows: (1) Professional qualifications
necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (2)
Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work
required, including, where appropriate, experience in energy
conservation, pollution prevention, waste reduction, and the use of
recovered materials; (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the
required time; (4) Past performance on contracts with Government
agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of
work, and compliance with performance schedules; (5) Location in the
general geographical area of the project; and (6) Demonstrated
experience with survey and design for asbestos and lead paint
abatement. Only those firms residing in the New York metropolitan area
that have the capability to perform the services described herein, are
requested to submit appropriate data within 30 calendar days from the
publication date of this announcement. Applicant responses to the
aforementioned evaluation criteria shall use Standard Forms 254 and
255, which will form the basis of the initial evaluation of
qualifications. The data submitted shall be concise and must address
all specific categories listed in the evaluation criteria. The Standard
Industrial Classification Code is 8712, with a size standard of
$2,500,000.00. This requirement is 100% Set-aside for small business.
A firm-fixed price contract will result from this acquisition. This is
