McGuire, Contracting Officer, 202-874-3235 The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking companies capable of providing transportation services for U.S. securities from BEP, 14th and C Streets, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20228. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 4212. The small business size standard is $18.5 million or less in avg. annual sales. The contractor shall provide drivers and tractor-trailers (40 feet in length and 12' 6" high when empty). BEP uses three tractor-trailers per week. One (1) driver and one (1) tractor-trailer will be available for BEP use Monday through Friday, fifty-one weeks per year. The second tractor-trailer will be used approximately once per week. The third tractor-trailer will be dropped off at BEP for loading and subsequent transporting once a week. Drivers will be subjected to a full background investigation. A 30-minute safety training session will be required for all drivers. Destinations will not exceed 250 miles round trip leaving BEP and returning to BEP.
