This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation N61339-99-Q-0314 is issued as a request for quote and incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-8. The solicitation shall be awarded on a sole source basis to Evans & Sutherland, 600 Comas Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84108. The SIC Code for this solicitation is 3699 with a size standard of 750 employees. The following items are required: CLIN 0001, Evans & Sutherland ESIG 4530 image generator (IG) channels to include system integration, 4 EA. The following Statement of Work applies: "LCAC Full-Mission Trainers (FMTs) are located at NAB, Coronado, CA and NAB, Little Creek, VA (one FMT at each site). The Visual system currently includes a two (2) channel Evans & Sutherland ESIG 4530 image generator (IG). Each image generator shall be enhanced to a four- (4) channel system, delivered, installed, and integrated at the respective trainer sites. Enhancement shall include modification of micro-code to provide a higher video resolution. Each channel processor shall provide a minimum of 1150 pixels by 1150 lines. Enhancement shall include the capability to select 50 Hz or 60 Hz update rate configurations. This task shall include delivery of COTS manuals and acceptance test procedures. A detailed Statement of Work will be made available upon request." Delivery and installation shall be made no later than 4 months after contract award to NAB Coronado, EWTGPAC, Coronado, San Diego, CA 92155-5035, ATT: Code 41 DV 20G6 SN1 and no later than 6 months after contract award to NAB Little Creek, EWTGLANT, Little Creek, Norfolk, VA 23521-5290, ATT: Code 23 DV 20G6 SN2; acceptance shall be made at destination upon delivery. Delivery shall be made FOB Destination. The following FAR/DFARS provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 252.2121-7001. The following subparagraphs of FAR 52.212-5(b) apply: (1), (3), (6), (7), (8), (9). The following subparagraphs of FAR 52.212-5(c) apply: None. The following clauses of DFARS 52.212-7001(b) and (c) apply: 252.205-7000, 252.225-7001, 252.225-7007, 252.225-7012, 252.225-7021, 252.227-7015, 252.227-7037. A completed copy of the following must be included with the quote: FAR 52.212-3 and DFARS 252.212-7000, 252.225-7000, and 252.225-7006. The following clauses also apply: DFARS 252.204-7004, "Required Central Contractor Registration" and "Year 2000 Warranty-Commercial Supply Items -- The contractor warrants that each hardware, software, and firmware product delivered under this contract and listed below shall be able to accurately process date data (including, but not limited to, calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from, into, and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, including leap year calculations, when used in accordance with the product documentation provided by the contractor, provided that all listed or unlisted products (e.g. hardware, software, firmware) used in combination with such listed product properly exchange date data with it. If the contract requires that specific listed products must perform as a system in accordance with the foregoing warranty, then that warranty shall apply to those listed products as a system. The duration of this warranty and the remedies available to the Government for breach of this warranty shall be as defined in, and subject to, the terms and limitations of the contractor's standard commercial warranty or warranties contained in this contract, provided that notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in such commercial warranty or warranties, the remedies available to the Government under this warranty shall include repair or replacement of any listed product whose non-compliance is discovered and made knownto the contractor in writing within ninety (90) days after acceptance. Nothing in this warranty shall be construed to limit any rights or remedies the Government may otherwise have under this contract with respect to defects other than Year 2000 performance."
