E-MAIL: Vivienne Gallo, vgallo@mail.arc.nasa.gov. NASA/ARC plans to issue a IFB/ Request for Offers to Rehabilitate the Bioscience Laboratory in Building N236. The work consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 4,725 net usable square meters of animal care facility space at NASA-Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, California. Major facility work includes renovation of the HVAC system, HVAC control system modifications, animal space lighting system upgrades, extending the fire detection and alarm system, and replacement of deteriorated roofing. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 330 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1711 and $7 Million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about December 21, 1998 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about January 19, 1999. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. All requests for copies of solicitation RFO2-36839-VDG should be in writing and directed to Chris Wolfe.
