Cox (904) 232-1215 (Site Code DACW17) The project work consists of removing shoals along the Entrance Channel, Turning Basin, and Destroyer Slip. The Entrance Channel and Turning Basin will be dredged to a required depth of 42 feet plus two feet allowable overdepth with the exception of the Carrier Basin which will be dredged to a required depth of 50 feet plus two feet allowable overdepth. The east half of the Destroyer Slip will be dredged to a required depth of 35 feet plus two feet allowable overdepth and the west half of the Destroyer Slip will be dredged to a required depth of 30 feet plus two feet allowable overdepth. Total quantity to be dredged is approximately 1,554,000 cubic yards. All dredged material will be placed in the designated ocean disposal area located approximately ten miles from the project site. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or about 09 November 1998.
