Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Test Program Set (TPS) Development for the F/A-18 aircraft. The Us Navy intends to issue solicitation N68335-99-R-0065 on a sole source basis with Boeing Aircraft, St. Louis, MO, under authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1 with an approved Justification and Approval to follow this announcement. This requirement is for OTPS development and peculiar support equipment for both basic requirement, optional production units for the Digital computer CP-2081/ASD-10(V)(PN 1407AA2001),Reproducer Recorder RD-627/ASD-10(V)(PN 1407PD0011-003), Electro-Optical Camera Processor CP-2083/ASD-10(V)(PN 1407AA2003), Signal Data Converter CV-4195/ASD-10(V)(PN 1407PD0012-002), Electro-Optical Camera Control C-12218/ASD-10(V) (PN 1407AA2005) WRAs. An optional WRA OTPS Recorder Transport Magnetic Tape RD-626/asd-10(V)(PN 1407PD0001-002) will be included. The US Navy does not own the specifications, drawings, and related data to permit full and open competition. Items covered by this procurement include development of WRA TPSs, First Article Test Units and production units. Anticipated release of the solicitations is approximately 25 Nov 98, with a closing time of approximately 30 days thereafter. The US Navy is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price type contract.
