AIRCREW CHEMICAL PROTECTIVE COVERALL (CWU-66/P) Brooks AFB, 311th HSW/YACM is searching for potential sources to become qualified suppliers for the laminated fabric cloth per FNS/PD 98-04, dated 30 Jun 98. This material is a chemical agent protective and fire resistant, activated carbon sphere, laminated cloth. Unapproved vendors of identical or similar cloths who are interested in qualifying their cloth are being sought. Prospective vendors are required to provide all necessary information, samples and test data to demonstrate to the government that they meet all the requirements listed in the Qualification Requirements For The Chemical Agent Protective and Fire Resistant, Activated Carbon Sphere, Laminated Cloth Used With The Aircrew Chemical Protective Coverall (CWU-66/P), document dated 15 Oct 98. As part of the qualification requirements, the prospective vendor must demonstrate that their laminated fabric protects at least as well as the current approved material in Aerosol, Vapor, Liquid, Assessment Group (AVLAG) testing. The government is tentatively scheduled to conduct AVLAG testing of the current qualified laminated fabric in December 1998 and expects to have results available within 35 days after testing. The CWU-66/P coverall is managed and procured by the Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia (DSCP).
