Scott (907) 249-1615 SOLICITATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A VEHICLE
MAINTENANCE/FIRE STATION COMPLEX which shall consist of one 18,100 SF
Vehicle Maintenance Facility and one 11,200 SF Fire Station. The
Vehicle Maintenance Facility will provide administrative, service, and
warm storage areas, for government owned vehicles assigned to the
installation. The Vehicle Maintenance Facility will consist of
administrative offices; restrooms and locker rooms; tool and parts
storage area; vehicle maintenance, repair, paint and wash bays, warm
vehicle storage; and a fuel dispensing island. This project also
includes a Fire Station that will provide training, adminstration,
living quarters, storage, and service areas for a 24 hour per day fire
department operations. Road access, paved parking, area lighting and
fencing will be included for both facilities. Contractor shall furnish
all materials, labor, equipment, transportation and utility services
to successfully complete this project. Magnitude of construction is
$5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC)

Restriction on the Employment of Personnel for Work on
Construction/Service Contracts in Alaska will be incorporated into the
solicitation and any resultant contract. This solicitation is
unrestricted and available for full and open competition. The
government intends to encourage the foundation of Partnering Concepts
between the government and contractor. The invitation for bid is
expected to be available on or about 15 December 1998 with an
anticipated bid opening date of 14 January 1999. Bid packages will be
distributed on a first come, first served basis. The bid packages,
consisting of plans and specifications will be limited to 2 per
company. Only written requests accompanied by a check or money order
(no cash will be accepted)in the proper amount, payable to the U.S.
Treasury will be honored. Requests or payment for plans and
specifications should be requested by 1 December 1998. Send requests
