A -- HARDWARE RESEARCH, FABRICATION, DEVELOPMENT AND ANALYSIS OF ADVANCED WEAPON COMPONENTS SOL DAAH01-99-R-R007 DUE 123098 POC GALE USELTON, 256-876-1647, Judy Lundy, Contracting Officer, 256-876-1430 This acquisition is sole-source to Georgia Tech Research Institute for a Cost- No-Fee, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity)(IDIQ) contract with a University Affiliated Research Center (UARC). The authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(3) as implemented by FAR 6.302-3. This effort is to provide for hardware research, fabrication, and applied analysis of advanced weapon components. Research and engineering disciplines, prototype design, fabrication, installation, and removal, and technical support services shall be required. The effort involves such technologies as acoustic and electromagnetic propagation; wave theory; statistical communication theory/ applications; solid state physics theory/applications; electromagnetic/acoustic properties of materials; emulation/simulation of electromagnetic fields/sensing devices;inertial navigation; lethal mechanisms; and environmental physics.
