The Corporation for National and Community Service, a wholly-owned Government Corporation intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor who can provide hotel and conference space for a "Learn and Serve America Grantees Technical Assistance Training Conference." The requirements are as follows: Lodging accommodations for 260 guests for the following dates: Wednesday, December 9 and Thursday, December 10, 1998. An additional 40 sleeping rooms will be required on Tuesday, December 8, 1998. Room rates should not exceed U.S. Government per diem rates for Baltimore, Maryland, as set by the General Services Administration. Large banquet room for the evening of December 10, 1998 for an awards presentation ceremony. Approximately 300 attendees are anticipated for this event to launch the three Presidential Awards, announce the Clearinghouse and T/TA Exchange. The cost for catered services for this event including graturity is estimated at $23.50 per person. Appropriate audio/visual services required; e.g., podium, microphone, overhead projector and screen. Meeting space and corresponding audio/visual equipment for two additional break-out rooms to accommodate 40 people each on December 9 and December 10). A/V should include overhead projectors, microphones, TV/VCR and podium for each room. Federal regulations require that any hotel/conference space contracted shall meet and comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
