POC Earnestine D. Cooper, 202-231-8460 The Defense Intelligence Agency
(DIA) intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Nothern
Virginia Community College for Academic and Career Counselor Services
with one base year and two option years. The Contractor will serve as
the academic and career counselor for DIA employees. The contractor
will provide on-site student services for employees enrolled in the
Nothern Virginia Community (NVCC) on-duty and after-hours courses, the
Career Studies Certificate Programs. and the DIA Writing Program.
Scope/Tasks: The contractor will provide long term/short term academic
planning and graduation certification review for employees enrolled in
one or more of the Career Studies Certificates or in an Associate
Degree program. The contractor will conduct the application and
registration process for on-duty and after-hours NVCC courses. The
contractor will coordinate the testing and placement of employees
enrolled in the DIA Writing Program. The contractor will interview each
new Career Studies Certificate and Associate Degree seeking student at
registration. The contractor will advise each student who receives an
incomplete or failing grade at the end of each semester. The
contractor will counsel each student who intends to withdraw from a
class and process the paperwork for withdrawl, The contractor will
provide the single point of contact for graduation certification of
each student enrolled in one or more of the Career Studies
Certificates. The contractor will evaluate transcripts and follow-up
requests for transcripts and transfer credit evaluations. Deliverables:
The contractor will provide a qaurterly status report. The contractor
will deliver semi-annual workshops on college study skills and career
